Meet Nicole

I’m Nicole Tignor. I’m a Portland entrepreneur, nonprofit leader, and community advocate. I run Specialty Coffee Supply and until not too long ago served as Vice President of Operations at an underground utility locating company, where I focused on compliance, operations, and building systems that deliver measurable results. My work has taught me that trust is earned through follow-through: clear goals, clear processes, and honest reporting.

I’m running for Portland City Council in District 3 because I believe Portland can be compassionate and orderly at the same time. Under Portland’s current system, Council’s job is legislative and policy-making: passing laws, adopting the city budget, setting priorities, and providing oversight to make sure programs and bureaus deliver what residents are paying for. The Mayor and the executive branch manage day-to-day operations. My commitment is to do the Council’s job with discipline: use policy, budgeting, and oversight to move the city toward measurable results.

Why District 3

District 3 includes neighborhoods, main streets, and corridors that carry a heavy share of the city’s daily challenges and opportunities. I’m running here because this district needs practical, present leadership that uses the Council’s tools (policy, budget, oversight, and coalition-building) to produce real improvements people can see.
